So I watched the premiere of “The Real L Word” last night on Showtime and am still not sure how I feel about this new series. As the name suggests, it’s a spin off of The L Word by the same creator Ilene Chaiken based in Los Angeles, CA. There are three main Characters:

Whitney: Who I am guessing is the “Shane” character in the series. Total player, noncommittal, juggles multiple girls at once the pretends to care about their feelings when she hurts them. Totally seems sweet and genuine but a total headcase, with dreds, YUCK!!!!

Mikey: Who says “I am gay man in a lesbian’s body.” Which is a total insult to gay men. 1, she looks like the lesbian version of Rod Stewart, eww, 2. A gay man wouldn’t have that awful haircut. 3. She wants to be Kelly Cutrone which I give her total credit for. Having her own business blah blah blah. For as uppity as this dyke is, her apt is LAME! The worse counter tops and back splash. I think she’s all show. Her girlfriend is bangin’ tho!!!

Nikki and Jill: The “Bette and Tina” of the group, they don’t go out, are all about their wedding, lame. Nikki’s got the Benjamins and Jill just enjoys it =). Go Jill, I need an arrangement like that! NICE house, haven’t seen their cars yet but Nikki’s doing something right, a little troll like but in sunglasses she’s got the look.

Tracy: Surfer girl dating a comedian with 3 kids, not so bright this one. (About dating someone with all those kids.)

Rose: OMG what a disaster this one. Loud obnoxious drunk, yuck , yuck, yuck. Not happy in her own skin so she treats her women badly. Grow up Rose, you’re old, have bigger bags under your eyes than Oprah, and you ain’t all that…Karma is coming to get you girl, I hope you’re ready.

Well let’s see what this series brings, as a Nor Cal girl, it all makes me want to gag. The older I get the more jaded I get, that’s for sure. Series runs on Sunday’s at 7:00 Pacific on Showtime. I wanna hear what you all have to say!
